SUPPORT OUR MISSION
Charleston Opera Theater’s mission is bringing sustainable, professional opera performances to the Lowcountry with quality, creativity and with a heart honoring the soul of the art form.
Opera, as an art form, portrays human emotions at their zenith…their most intense. Fear, anxiety, sorrow, joy, happiness, hopelessness, hope and love…things ALL humans experience. Orchestra, visceral human voices and intense emotion fuse together in an acoustic environment to create a transcendent experience for the audience. We all share the HUMAN CONDITION.
Sometimes we need to be transported to a different time, a different place or a different culture to remind us of that simple truth. When an audience gathers in fellowship and experiences a live performance together, it has a unifying effect on our community.
Charleston Opera Theater is a non-profit 501(c)(3) arts organization.

FOUNDATIONS 2024 is currently underway and it is your opportunity to help Charleston Opera Theater bring the power of live, world class, professional operatic performances, and events to our community and the Lowcountry. This pledge campaign is designed to strengthen our financial foundation and build towards long term success.
We are asking those that share our passion for opera to make a 3 YEAR FINANCIAL PLEDGE. This annual donation allows us to not only meet our short-term operating and production budgeting, but helps us establish a realistic, long-term plan that provides financial stability and security for the future.
